Indication

Treatment of dandruff (seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp) and tinea versicolor (pityriasis versicolor). Selenium sulfide has antifungal and cytostatic properties that reduce scalp flaking.

Direction

For dandruff: Massage the shampoo into wet scalp, leave for 2–3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use twice weekly for 2 weeks, then once weekly for 2 weeks, then as directed. For tinea versicolor: Apply to affected areas, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse. Use daily for 7 days.

• Hair loss with prolonged use (rare)

Precautions

• For external use only — do not swallow.
• Avoid contact with eyes — rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs.
• Do not use on broken
• inflamed
• or acutely infected skin.
• Avoid use on the face.
• May cause discolouration of dyed
• bleached
• or permed hair — rinse thoroughly after use.
• Do not use on children under 5 years without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
