Indication
Medical termination of early intrauterine pregnancy.
Ingredients
- Mifepristone 200 mg (1 tablet)
- Misoprostol 200 mcg (4 tablets)
Direction
Take as directed by a registered medical practitioner. Typically 1 Mifepristone tablet followed by 4 Misoprostol tablets 24-48 hours later.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- abdominal cramping
- and diarrhea (very common
- especially with misoprostol).
- Heavy vaginal bleeding and passage of clots.
- Uterine contractions and pelvic pain.
- Headache and dizziness.
- Chills and fever (especially after misoprostol).
- Incomplete abortion requiring surgical intervention.
- Serious: infection
- sepsis (rare but life
- threatening).
Precautions
- For use under medical supervision only.
- Contraindicated in ectopic pregnancy
- chronic adrenal failure
- and porphyrias.
- Keep out of reach of children.
