Indication
Used to relieve mild to moderate pain including headache, toothache, muscular pain, period pain, and sore throat. Also used to reduce fever.
Ingredients
- Paracetamol
Direction
Adults and children 12 years and over: 500 mg–1000 mg every 4–6 hours as needed; maximum 4 g (4000 mg) per day. Children under 12: dose adjusted by weight — consult a doctor or pharmacist.
Side effects
- Rare at therapeutic doses: skin rash or urticaria.
- Hepatotoxicity (liver damage) with overdose.
- Very rarely: serious skin reactions (Stevens
- Johnson syndrome).
- Renal impairment with prolonged excessive use.
Precautions
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- Do not use with other paracetamol
- containing products.
- Avoid in patients with severe hepatic impairment or active liver disease.
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve within 3 days (fever) or 5 days (pain).
- Avoid alcohol during treatment.
- Keep out of reach of children.
