Indication
Treatment of bacterial infections of the eye responsive to chloramphenicol, with associated inflammation responsive to corticosteroid therapy.
Ingredients
- Dexamethasone
- Chloramphenicol
Direction
As directed by the physician. Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye, several times a day. The treatment should not exceed 10 days.
Side effects
- Local irritation
- burning or stinging on instillation.
- Increased intraocular pressure with prolonged use.
- Rare hypersensitivity reactions.
Precautions
- Do not use in newborn infants.
- Do not use in viral or fungal infection of the eyes.
- Do not use in ocular tuberculosis or glaucoma.
- Respect the prescribed dosage.
- Use with caution in patients with immunosuppression.
