Ampicilin 500 mg

Indication

Ampicilin is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, meningitis, and septicemia caused by susceptible organisms.

Ingredients

• Ampicillin trihydrate equivalent to 500 mg ampicillin

Direction

Take orally as prescribed by a physician. Usual adult dose: 250–500 mg every 6 hours. Swallow capsule whole with water. Complete the full prescribed course of treatment.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• Skin rash or urticaria
• Anaphylaxis (rare but serious)
• Superinfection with Candida on prolonged use

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to penicillin or beta
• lactam antibiotics
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not exceed recommended dosage
• Store in a dry place
• not exceeding 30°C
