Bactrim Forte 800 mg / 160 mg

Indication

Bactrim Forte is a high-dose combination antibiotic used to treat severe bacterial infections including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, and Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia. The higher dosage provides enhanced antibacterial activity for more serious infections.

Ingredients

• Sulfamethoxazole
• Trimethoprim

Direction

Take as directed by your physician. Usually 1 tablet twice daily with plenty of water.

• Rash
• Photosensitivity
• Blood dyscrasias

Precautions

• Not for use in patients with sulfonamide hypersensitivity
• Avoid in severe renal or hepatic impairment
• Maintain adequate fluid intake
• Avoid in pregnant women near term and nursing mothers
