Indication
Asolan is a benzodiazepine anxiolytic used for the management of anxiety disorders, short-term relief of symptoms of anxiety, and the treatment of panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.
Ingredients
- Alprazolam BP 0.5 mg
Direction
Take orally as prescribed by a physician. Usual starting dose for anxiety: 0.25–0.5 mg three times daily. Dose to be individualized and titrated by a physician. Do not stop abruptly without medical supervision.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and sedation
- Impaired coordination or motor skills
- Memory impairment
- Dependence and withdrawal symptoms on abrupt discontinuation
- Paradoxical reactions including agitation or aggression (rare)
Precautions
- CAUTION: This preparation may be habit forming on prolonged use
- CONTROLLED MEDICINE — only use on medical prescription
- Keep out of reach of children
- Store below 30°C
- Do not exceed recommended dosage
- Not recommended in pregnancy

- or patients with severe respiratory insufficiency
- Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants during use
