Asolan 0.5 mg

Indication

Asolan is a benzodiazepine anxiolytic used for the management of anxiety disorders, short-term relief of symptoms of anxiety, and the treatment of panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.

Ingredients

• Alprazolam BP 0.5 mg

Direction

Take orally as prescribed by a physician. Usual starting dose for anxiety: 0.25–0.5 mg three times daily. Dose to be individualized and titrated by a physician. Do not stop abruptly without medical supervision.

Side effects

• Drowsiness and sedation
• Impaired coordination or motor skills
• Memory impairment
• Dependence and withdrawal symptoms on abrupt discontinuation
• Paradoxical reactions including agitation or aggression (rare)

Precautions

• CAUTION: This preparation may be habit forming on prolonged use
• CONTROLLED MEDICINE — only use on medical prescription
• Keep out of reach of children
• Store below 30°C
• Do not exceed recommended dosage
• Not recommended in pregnancy

• Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants during use
