Colchicine Opocalcium 1 mg

Indication

Colchicine Opocalcium is used to treat and prevent acute attacks of gout by reducing inflammation caused by uric acid crystal deposition in joints. It is also used in familial Mediterranean fever.

Ingredients

• Colchicine 1 mg

Direction

For acute gout: take 1 mg at the first sign of attack, followed by 0.5 mg one hour later if needed. Do not exceed 3 mg in 24 hours. For prevention: as directed by physician.

Side effects

• Diarrhea
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Abdominal pain
• Muscle weakness (with prolonged use)

Precautions

• Consult your doctor immediately if diarrhea

• or vomiting appear
• Not recommended in severe renal or hepatic impairment
• Keep out of reach of children
• May interact with certain antibiotics and antifungals
