Colodium 2 mg

Indication

Colodium is an antidiarrheal agent used for the symptomatic treatment of acute non-specific diarrhea and chronic diarrhea associated with inflammatory bowel disease. It slows intestinal motility and reduces fluid loss.

Ingredients

• Loperamide Hydrochloride 2 mg

Direction

Adults: take 2 capsules initially, then 1 capsule after each loose stool. Maximum 8 capsules per day. Do not use for more than 2 days without medical advice.

Side effects

• Constipation
• Abdominal cramps
• Nausea
• Dizziness

Precautions

• Not for use in children under 12 years
• Do not use if diarrhea is accompanied by blood or high fever
• Seek medical attention if diarrhea persists beyond 48 hours
• Keep out of reach of children
