Kaleorid LP 600 mg

Indication

A sustained-release potassium supplement used for the prevention and treatment of hypokalemia (low blood potassium levels). Indicated for patients requiring potassium supplementation due to diuretic therapy, poor dietary intake, or other conditions causing potassium depletion.

Ingredients

• Potassium Chloride 600 mg

Direction

Swallow tablets whole with a full glass of water; do not crush or chew. Take with or after food. Dose as directed by physician.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• abdominal discomfort
• or gastrointestinal ulceration. Hyperkalemia may occur if used inappropriately.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in hyperkalemia
• severe renal impairment
• untreated Addison's disease
• and acute dehydration. Do not use during pregnancy except in the absence of a therapeutic alternative. Keep out of reach of children. Pregnancy warning label present on package.
