Consartan 50 mg

Indication

Consartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and to reduce the risk of stroke in hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy. Also used for diabetic nephropathy.

Ingredients

• Losartan Potassium 50 mg

Direction

Take one tablet once daily, with or without food. The dose may be increased to 100 mg once daily under physician guidance. Maintain regular blood pressure monitoring.

Side effects

• Dizziness
• Hyperkalemia (elevated potassium)
• Hypotension
• Fatigue
• Back pain

Precautions

• Avoid use in pregnancy — can cause fetal harm
• Do not use with potassium supplements without medical advice
• Monitor renal function and potassium levels
• Keep out of reach of children
