Indication

An antifungal agent used for the treatment of systemic and superficial fungal infections including dermatophytosis, candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor, and other susceptible fungal infections.

Ingredients

• Ketoconazole 200 mg

Direction

Dosage as directed by physician. Take with food to minimize gastrointestinal side effects. Swallow whole with water.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• vomiting
• abdominal pain
• headache
• pruritus
• and rash. Rare but serious hepatotoxicity has been reported. Hormonal effects at high doses.

Precautions

• Not for use in patients with liver disease or hypersensitivity to ketoconazole. Not recommended for the treatment of superficial skin infections
• ringworm
• or nail infections due to systemic absorption risks. Use under medical supervision. Keep out of reach of children.
