Cotrim Ephac 400 mg/80 mg

Indication

Cotrim Ephac is a co-trimoxazole combination antibiotic used to treat susceptible bacterial infections including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections (acute bronchitis, pneumonia), otitis media, and gastrointestinal infections including typhoid fever.

Ingredients

• Sulfamethoxazole 400 mg
• Trimethoprim 80 mg

Direction

Take 2 tablets twice daily (morning and evening) with meals. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment. Duration as prescribed by physician.

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Skin rash
• Diarrhea
• Photosensitivity

Precautions

• Avoid use in patients with sulfonamide allergy
• Do not use in severe renal or hepatic impairment
• Keep out of reach of children
• Store below 30°C away from light and humidity
