Eldoper 2 mg

Indication

Treatment of acute non-specific diarrhea and chronic diarrhea associated with inflammatory bowel disease. Also used to reduce the volume of discharge from ileostomies.

Ingredients

• Loperamide Hydrochloride 2 mg

Direction

Adults: initial dose of 4 mg (2 capsules) followed by 2 mg after each loose stool. Maximum 16 mg (8 capsules) per day. Children: consult a physician.

Side effects

• Abdominal pain
• bloating
• constipation
• nausea
• dizziness.

Precautions

• Not for use in children under 2 years. Avoid in patients with bloody diarrhea or high fever. Discontinue if no improvement after 48 hours. Consult physician if symptoms persist.
