Indication
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults to improve glycemic control as an adjunct to diet and exercise. Also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease.

Side effects
- Urinary tract infections
- genital mycotic infections
- increased urination
- hypotension.
Precautions
- Keep out of reach of children. Avoid exposure to heat
- light and humidity. Not for use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Monitor kidney function. Consult physician before use.
