Indication

DEXA-MS (Dexamethasone) tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of allergic diseases, inflammatory conditions, and severe asthma.

Side effects

• Insomnia
• increased appetite
• weight gain
• mood changes
• and with prolonged use
• adrenal suppression and Cushingoid features may occur.

Precautions

• Long
• term use may cause adrenal suppression
• osteoporosis
• hypertension
• and immunosuppression. Do not stop abruptly after prolonged use. Use with caution in patients with diabetes
• peptic ulcer
• or infections. Requires physician supervision.
