Diabetmin 1000 mg

Indication

Diabetmin 1000 mg film-coated tablets are used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially in overweight patients, as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents when diet and exercise alone are insufficient.

Ingredients

• Metformin HCl 1000 mg

Direction

Adults: Dose as directed by a physician. Typically taken 2 to 3 times daily with or after meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• abdominal pain
• and decreased appetite are common. Lactic acidosis is rare but serious. Vitamin B12 deficiency may occur with long
• term use.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with renal impairment (eGFR <30 mL/min)
• hepatic impairment
• acute or chronic metabolic acidosis
• and in patients undergoing iodinated contrast media procedures. Monitor renal function regularly. Temporarily withhold before surgery or procedures involving contrast agents.
