Cytotec 200 mcg

Indication

Cytotec is a synthetic prostaglandin E1 analogue used for the prevention and treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, particularly in patients taking NSAIDs. It is also used in obstetric and gynaecological applications under medical supervision.

Ingredients

• Misoprostol 200 mcg

Direction

For gastric/duodenal ulcer prevention: 200 mcg four times daily with food, or 400 mcg twice daily. Duration and dosing as directed by physician. Prescription required.

• Nausea
• Flatulence
• Uterine contractions

Precautions

• Contraindicated during pregnancy for ulcer indications — causes uterine contractions
• Use only under strict medical supervision
• Keep out of reach of children
