Indication
Ecolevo-500 (Levofloxacin Tablets USP 500 mg) is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic indicated for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, acute sinusitis, urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, skin and soft tissue infections, and other susceptible bacterial infections in adults.
Ingredients
- Levofloxacin
Direction
As directed by the physician. Typically 500 mg once or twice daily depending on the indication. Take with or without food. Maintain adequate hydration.
Side effects
- Nausea
- diarrhea
- headache
- insomnia
- dizziness. Rarely: tendon rupture
- peripheral neuropathy.
Precautions
- Not for use in children under 18 years. Use with caution in patients with epilepsy
- renal impairment
- or QT prolongation. Avoid excessive sunlight exposure.
