Ecolevo 500 mg

Indication

Ecolevo-500 (Levofloxacin Tablets USP 500 mg) is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic indicated for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, acute sinusitis, urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, skin and soft tissue infections, and other susceptible bacterial infections in adults.

Direction

As directed by the physician. Typically 500 mg once or twice daily depending on the indication. Take with or without food. Maintain adequate hydration.

Side effects

• Nausea
• diarrhea
• headache
• insomnia
• dizziness. Rarely: tendon rupture
• peripheral neuropathy.

Precautions

• Not for use in children under 18 years. Use with caution in patients with epilepsy
• renal impairment
• or QT prolongation. Avoid excessive sunlight exposure.
