PANKAM Injection 40 mg

Indication

Pantoprazole injection is used for treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and prevention of stress ulcers in hospitalized patients requiring intravenous therapy.

Direction

For IV use only. Administer as directed by a physician. Lyophilized powder — reconstitute before administration.

Side effects

• Headache
• dizziness.
• Nausea
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain.
• Injection site reactions (pain
• thrombophlebitis).
• Elevated liver enzymes.
• Hypomagnesaemia with prolonged use.
• Rare: severe allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment. Not recommended for long
• term use without medical supervision. Keep out of reach of children.
