Virest 5%

Indication

Virest 5% Cream is used for the treatment of herpes simplex virus infections of the skin, including cold sores (herpes labialis) and genital herpes. It helps to reduce the severity and duration of outbreaks.

Ingredients

• Aciclovir 5%

Direction

Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area 5 times daily at approximately 4-hour intervals. Treatment should be started as early as possible, ideally at the first sign of an outbreak. Continue treatment for at least 4 days.

Side effects

• Mild burning or stinging sensation at application site
• Skin dryness or flaking
• Itching or redness at application site
• Rash (rare)

Precautions

• For external use only
• avoid contact with eyes
• mouth
• and mucous membranes
• Do not apply to healthy skin
• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before use
• Keep out of reach of children
• If irritation or allergic reaction occurs
