Indication
VIT K1 Injection (Phytomenadione) is used for the treatment and prevention of hemorrhagic conditions caused by vitamin K deficiency, including anticoagulant drug overdose, hypoprothrombinemia, and neonatal hemorrhagic disease.
Ingredients
- Phytomenadione 10 mg
Direction
Administer by intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) injection as directed by a physician. Dosage is determined by clinical need and response.
Side effects
- Pain or swelling at injection site
- Flushing
- sweating
- or dizziness (with rapid IV injection)
- Allergic reactions (rare)
- Hypotension with rapid IV administration
Precautions
- Administer slowly when given intravenously to minimize adverse reactions
- Use with caution in patients with liver disease
- Inform your doctor of all medications you are taking
- especially anticoagulants
- Keep out of reach of children
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
