Indication
Vitamin B12 Injection is used for the treatment of pernicious anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency, megaloblastic anemia, and certain neurological conditions caused by B12 deficiency. It may also be used in patients who cannot absorb oral B12.
Ingredients
- Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) 1 mg
Direction
Administer by intramuscular (IM) injection as directed by a physician. Dosage and frequency depend on clinical indication.
Side effects
- Pain or irritation at the injection site
- Diarrhea (rare)
- Itching or rash (rare)
- Allergic reactions (rare)
Precautions
- Administer under medical supervision
- Use with caution in patients with known Leber's disease (hereditary optic atrophy)
- Inform your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding
- Keep out of reach of children
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
