Mucomyst 200 mg

Indication

Mucomyst is a mucolytic agent used for the symptomatic treatment of productive (wet) cough and respiratory conditions where excessive or thick mucus is present, including acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, and other conditions with hypersecretion of respiratory mucus.

Ingredients

• Acetylcysteine 200 mg

Direction

Dissolve the content of one sachet in a glass of water and drink. Take 1 sachet 2 to 3 times daily as directed by the physician. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• skin rash
• stomatitis.

Precautions

• Keep out of reach of children. Use with caution in patients with asthma or peptic ulcer. Consult a physician if symptoms persist more than 5 days.
