Zyloric 100 mg

Indication

Treatment and prevention of gout and hyperuricaemia (elevated uric acid levels). Also used for prevention of uric acid nephropathy and uric acid stone formation, and during chemotherapy to prevent tumour lysis syndrome.

Ingredients

• Allopurinol 100 mg

Direction

Take orally as directed by a physician. Usual adult dose for gout: 100-300 mg per day. Take with or after food. Drink plenty of fluids. Prescription only medicine.

Side effects

• Skin rash (may be serious)

• elevated liver enzymes. Severe hypersensitivity reactions (Stevens
• Johnson syndrome) rarely possible.

Precautions

• Prescription only (Liste I). Do not use during pregnancy without medical advice. Warning: ZYLORIC 100 MG + GROSSESSE = DANGER. Not for use during pregnancy unless no therapeutic alternative. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur — stop immediately if rash develops.
