Levothyrox 25 µg

Indication

Treatment of hypothyroidism and thyroid hormone replacement therapy. Used to restore normal thyroid hormone levels in patients with thyroid deficiency.

Ingredients

• Levothyroxine Sodium 25 µg

Direction

Take orally (voie orale). Swallow whole or break the scored tablet as directed by a physician. Usually taken once daily in the morning on an empty stomach.

Side effects

• Palpitations or rapid heartbeat (tachycardia)
• Tremor or shakiness
• Headache
• Insomnia or sleep disturbances
• Sweating and heat intolerance
• Weight loss
• Diarrhoea or loose stools
• Nervousness or restlessness
• Muscle weakness or cramps
• Bone density loss with prolonged overtreatment

Precautions

• Do not change brand or dosage without physician advice
• Regular thyroid function monitoring required
• Keep out of reach of children
