Indication
Local anesthetic for subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous use. Used for anesthetic procedures.
Ingredients
- Lidocaine Hydrochloride BP 21.3 mg/ml
Direction
For S.C., I.M. and I.V. use only. As directed by the physician. For anesthetic use only.
Side effects
- Local burning or stinging sensation at injection site
- Numbness or paraesthesia at injection site
- Allergic reactions including urticaria
- rash
- or anaphylaxis (rare)
- Dizziness and drowsiness (with systemic absorption)
- Tinnitus or visual disturbances (signs of systemic toxicity)
- Bradycardia or hypotension (cardiovascular effects at high systemic levels)
- Seizures (with excessive systemic absorption — rare)
Precautions
- Do not use if solution is not clear or contains suspended particles
- Keep out of reach of children
- Read the pack insert carefully before use
