Lidokam Injection 2% w/v

Indication

Local anesthetic for subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous use. Used for anesthetic procedures.

Ingredients

• Lidocaine Hydrochloride BP 21.3 mg/ml

Direction

For S.C., I.M. and I.V. use only. As directed by the physician. For anesthetic use only.

Side effects

• Local burning or stinging sensation at injection site
• Numbness or paraesthesia at injection site
• Allergic reactions including urticaria
• rash
• or anaphylaxis (rare)
• Dizziness and drowsiness (with systemic absorption)
• Tinnitus or visual disturbances (signs of systemic toxicity)
• Bradycardia or hypotension (cardiovascular effects at high systemic levels)
• Seizures (with excessive systemic absorption — rare)

Precautions

• Do not use if solution is not clear or contains suspended particles
• Keep out of reach of children
• Read the pack insert carefully before use
