Indication
TRIBET-N Gel is a combination topical preparation containing a corticosteroid (betamethasone dipropionate) and an antibiotic (neomycin sulphate). It is indicated for inflammatory skin conditions where secondary bacterial infection is suspected or confirmed, including infected eczema, infected dermatitis, and other corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses with bacterial superinfection.
Ingredients
- Betamethasone Dipropionate USP 0.05 g per 100 g gel
- Neomycin Sulphate BP 0.05 g per 100 g gel
Direction
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area once or twice daily as directed by a physician. Wash hands after application. Do not apply in or around the eyes. Use as directed by the physician and read the inside leaflet carefully before use.
Side effects
- Skin burning
- itching
- or irritation at application site
- Risk of neomycin sensitization or allergic contact dermatitis
- Skin thinning with prolonged use
- Emergence of resistant bacterial organisms
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any adverse effect occurs
Precautions
- NOT FOR OPHTHALMIC USE — do not apply near or in the eyes
- FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
- Do not use on large areas or under occlusive dressings for prolonged periods
- Avoid use on broken or acutely infected skin without specialist advice
- Not recommended for children without medical supervision
- Read the inside leaflet carefully before use
- Keep out of reach of children
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- stop if irritation or allergic reaction occurs
