Indication
TRISOL-N Cream is a combination topical preparation containing a high-potency corticosteroid (clobetasol propionate) and an antibiotic (neomycin sulphate). It is indicated for corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses with secondary bacterial infection, including infected eczema, infected psoriasis, and other inflammatory skin conditions where bacterial superinfection is present or suspected.
Ingredients
- Clobetasol Propionate USP 0.05 g per 100 g cream
- Neomycin Sulphate BP 0.05 g per 100 g cream
Direction
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area twice daily (morning and evening) as directed by a physician. Treatment should not exceed 2 consecutive weeks. Do not apply in or around the eyes. Wash hands after application. Read the inside leaflet carefully before use.
Side effects
- Skin atrophy with prolonged use
- Burning
- itching
- or irritation at application site
- Risk of neomycin sensitization or allergic contact dermatitis
- Adrenal suppression with excessive or prolonged use
- Emergence of resistant bacterial organisms
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any adverse effect occurs
Precautions
- NOT FOR OPHTHALMIC USE — do not apply near or in the eyes
- FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
- Do not use for more than 2 consecutive weeks without medical review
- Avoid use on the face
- groin
- or underarms unless directed by a physician
- Not recommended for children without specialist medical supervision
- Read the inside leaflet carefully before use
- Keep out of reach of children
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
