Indication
Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and conditions caused by excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Ingredients
- Omeprazole USP 40 mg (as enteric coated pellets)
Direction
To be dispensed only on registered physician's prescription. Take as directed by a physician, usually before meals.
Side effects
- Headache
- Nausea
- vomiting
- or stomach pain
- Diarrhoea or constipation
- Flatulence
- Dry mouth
- Elevated liver enzymes (monitor in patients with hepatic impairment)
- Hypomagnesaemia with long
- term use
- Vitamin B12 deficiency with prolonged use
- Increased risk of Clostridioides difficile infection with prolonged use
- Fundic gland polyps (rare
- benign)
Precautions
- To be dispensed only on registered physician's prescription
- Keep away from light
- Store in a cool (below 30°C) and dry place
- Keep out of reach of children
