Losectil 40 mg

Indication

Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and conditions caused by excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Ingredients

• Omeprazole USP 40 mg (as enteric coated pellets)

Direction

To be dispensed only on registered physician's prescription. Take as directed by a physician, usually before meals.

Side effects

• Headache
• Nausea
• vomiting
• or stomach pain
• Diarrhoea or constipation
• Flatulence
• Dry mouth
• Elevated liver enzymes (monitor in patients with hepatic impairment)
• Hypomagnesaemia with long
• term use
• Vitamin B12 deficiency with prolonged use
• Increased risk of Clostridioides difficile infection with prolonged use
• Fundic gland polyps (rare
• benign)

• Keep away from light
• Store in a cool (below 30°C) and dry place
• Keep out of reach of children
