Medicolat 20 mg

Indication

Medicolat (Nifedipine) is a calcium channel blocker indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and prophylaxis of angina pectoris. It helps relax blood vessels and reduce cardiac workload.

Ingredients

• Nifedipine 20 mg

Direction

Take as directed by a physician. Usually 1 tablet two to three times daily. Swallow whole; do not crush or chew. Take with or without food.

Side effects

• Common side effects include flushing
• headache
• dizziness
• peripheral edema
• palpitations
• and nausea. Rarely may cause hypotension or reflex tachycardia.

Precautions

• Do not use in cardiogenic shock
• acute myocardial infarction
• or severe aortic stenosis. Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment
• heart failure
• or those taking other antihypertensives. Avoid grapefruit juice. Keep out of reach of children.
