Indication

Metformin Denk 1000 is an oral antidiabetic agent indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly in overweight patients, when diet and exercise alone are inadequate to control blood glucose. It may be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents.

Ingredients

• Metformin HCl 1000 mg

Direction

Swallow tablets whole with some liquid during or after meals, as directed by your physician. Dose is individualized by the doctor. Do not crush or chew. Read instructions for use carefully.

Side effects

• Common: nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• abdominal pain
• metallic taste. Rare but serious: lactic acidosis. Vitamin B12 deficiency may occur with long
• term use.

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with renal impairment
• hepatic insufficiency
• dehydration
• excessive alcohol consumption
• or conditions associated with hypoxia. Discontinue before surgery or administration of iodinated contrast media. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 30°C
