Indication

For intravenous infusion. Indicated for anaerobic bacterial infections, amoebiasis, trichomoniasis, and perioperative prophylaxis against anaerobic infection.

• Metronidazole 500mg/100ml

Direction

For intravenous infusion only. Dosage as directed by the physician. Do not use if contents are not clear or show particulate matter.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• and abdominal discomfort
• Metallic taste in the mouth
• Headache and dizziness
• Peripheral neuropathy with prolonged use
• Dark discolouration of urine (harmless)
• Phlebitis or thrombophlebitis at injection site
• Allergic reactions including rash — rare
• Leukopenia with prolonged use — rare

• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use if solution is not clear or contains particulate matter
• Store below 30°C
