Indication
Voltaren Emulgel 1% Gel is used for the topical treatment of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, sprains, strains, bruises, and localized forms of soft tissue rheumatism.
Ingredients
- Diclofenac Diethylamine 1.16% (equivalent to Diclofenac Sodium 1%)
Direction
Apply 2 to 4 g of gel to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily and rub in gently. Wash hands after application unless treating the hands. Do not use for more than 2 weeks without medical advice.
Side effects
- Skin reactions at application site such as redness
- rash
- or itching
- Skin dryness or dermatitis
- Photosensitivity reactions (rare)
Precautions
- For external use only
- do not apply to open wounds
- mucous membranes
- or near the eyes
- Avoid use with occlusive dressings
- Caution in patients with known sensitivity to NSAIDs or aspirin
- Inform your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding
- Keep out of reach of children
- If irritation or allergic reaction occurs
- discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist
