Voltaren Emulgel 1%

Indication

Voltaren Emulgel 1% Gel is used for the topical treatment of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, sprains, strains, bruises, and localized forms of soft tissue rheumatism.

Ingredients

• Diclofenac Diethylamine 1.16% (equivalent to Diclofenac Sodium 1%)

Direction

Apply 2 to 4 g of gel to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily and rub in gently. Wash hands after application unless treating the hands. Do not use for more than 2 weeks without medical advice.

Side effects

• Skin reactions at application site such as redness
• rash
• or itching
• Skin dryness or dermatitis
• Photosensitivity reactions (rare)

Precautions

• For external use only
• do not apply to open wounds
• mucous membranes
• or near the eyes
• Avoid use with occlusive dressings
• Caution in patients with known sensitivity to NSAIDs or aspirin
• Inform your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding
• Keep out of reach of children
• If irritation or allergic reaction occurs
• discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist
