Vitamin C Injection 500 mg/5 ml

Indication

Vitamin C Injection 500mg/5ml is indicated for the treatment of severe vitamin C deficiency (scurvy), as an adjunct in the treatment of certain anemias, and to support wound healing in patients where oral supplementation is not possible or insufficient.

Ingredients

Direction

For intramuscular (I.M.) or intravenous (I.V.) injection as directed by a physician. Dosage based on clinical condition and physician recommendation.

Side effects

• Pain or irritation at the injection site. Rare: nausea
• flushing
• kidney stones with very high doses.

Precautions

• Administer under medical supervision. Use with caution in patients with history of kidney stones or renal impairment. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a physician before use.
