Indication
- Relief of nausea and vomiting - Epigastric discomfort, bloating and fullness - Heartburn and belching associated with gastrointestinal motility disorders
Ingredients
- Domperidone 10 mg
Direction
Adults: usually one 10 mg tablet taken 15-30 minutes before meals, up to three times daily. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration as advised by a physician.
Side effects
- Dry mouth
- Headache
- Abdominal cramps
- Diarrhoea
- Rarely
- palpitations and serious cardiac arrhythmias
Precautions
- May prolong the QT interval
- avoid in known cardiac conduction disorders or significant electrolyte disturbances
- Contraindicated with moderate to severe hepatic impairment
- Avoid concurrent use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors and other QT
- prolonging drugs
- Use the lowest effective dose
- generally not exceeding one week without review
