Indication

- Hypertension - Angina pectoris - Management after myocardial infarction

Ingredients

• Amlodipine 5 mg + Atenolol 50 mg

Direction

Usually one tablet once daily, or as directed by a physician. Swallow whole; do not stop abruptly.

Side effects

• Ankle/leg swelling (edema)
• Headache
• dizziness
• flushing
• Fatigue and cold extremities
• Slow heart rate (bradycardia)
• Nausea

Precautions

• Avoid abrupt discontinuation
• which may worsen angina
• Use with caution in asthma
• COPD
• and heart failure
• Caution in diabetes (may mask low blood sugar) and severe liver impairment
• Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly
