Indication
- Hypertension - Angina pectoris - Management after myocardial infarction
Ingredients
- Amlodipine 5 mg + Atenolol 50 mg
Direction
Usually one tablet once daily, or as directed by a physician. Swallow whole; do not stop abruptly.
Side effects
- Ankle/leg swelling (edema)
- Headache
- dizziness
- flushing
- Fatigue and cold extremities
- Slow heart rate (bradycardia)
- Nausea
Precautions
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation
- which may worsen angina
- Use with caution in asthma
- COPD
- and heart failure
- Caution in diabetes (may mask low blood sugar) and severe liver impairment
- Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly
