Indication

- Contraception (prevention of pregnancy) - Birth spacing - Regulation of the menstrual cycle

Ingredients

• Levonorgestrel + ethinylestradiol (combined oral contraceptive
• with iron/placebo tablets)

Direction

Take one tablet by mouth at the same time each day, following the strip order, with no break between packs; start a new strip the day after finishing the previous one.

Side effects

• Nausea
• breast tenderness
• and headache
• Irregular bleeding or spotting between periods
• Mood changes
• Rarely
• blood clots (deep vein thrombosis
• pulmonary embolism)

Precautions

• Not for use during pregnancy or in women with a history of blood clots
• stroke
• or certain cancers
• Increased risk of venous thromboembolism
• especially in smokers over 35
• Use additional protection if a dose is missed or with vomiting/diarrhoea
• Tell your doctor about all other medicines
• as some reduce contraceptive effect
