Woods' Peppermint Expectorant

Indication

For productive cough, cough due to bronchitis or emphysema. Acts as an expectorant and mucolytic to help loosen and clear mucus from the airways.

Ingredients

• Bromhexine HCl 4 mg per 5 mL
• Guaiphenesin 100 mg per 5 mL
• Ethanol 6% v/v per 5 mL

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonfuls (10 mL) 3 times a day. Children 6–12 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) 3 times a day. Shake well before use.

• Allergic skin rashes (rare)
• Vomiting (rare)

• Special precaution needed in GI ulceration patients
