Indication
Used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Direction
Take orally once daily, with or without food, as directed by a physician.

- Weight gain
- Fluid retention (edema)
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Headache
- Muscle pain
- Heart failure
- Bladder cancer
- Bone fractures
Precautions
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Monitor for signs of heart failure.
- Not recommended for patients with symptomatic heart failure or a history of bladder cancer.
- Consult a physician if pregnant or breastfeeding.
