Indication
Oral contraceptive for the prevention of pregnancy. Yasmin is a combined monophasic oral contraceptive containing a progestogen (drospirenone) and an estrogen (ethinylestradiol).
Ingredients
- Drospirenone 3.000 mg
- Ethinylestradiol 0.030 mg
Direction
Take one tablet daily at the same time each day for 21 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day tablet-free interval. A new pack is then started. Refer to the enclosed leaflet for full instructions.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Breast tenderness
- Headache
- Mood changes
- Irregular bleeding or spotting
- Decreased libido
- Increased risk of thromboembolism (blood clots)
Precautions
- Do not use if you have a history of blood clots
- stroke
- or heart disease
- Do not use during pregnancy or if pregnancy is suspected
- Do not use if you have severe liver disease
- Smoking increases the risk of serious cardiovascular side effects
- Tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking
- Store below 30°C
- out of reach of children
