Yasmin Drospirenone 3 mg / Ethinylestradiol 0.030 mg

Indication

Oral contraceptive for the prevention of pregnancy. Yasmin is a combined monophasic oral contraceptive containing a progestogen (drospirenone) and an estrogen (ethinylestradiol).

Ingredients

• Drospirenone 3.000 mg
• Ethinylestradiol 0.030 mg

Direction

Take one tablet daily at the same time each day for 21 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day tablet-free interval. A new pack is then started. Refer to the enclosed leaflet for full instructions.

Side effects

• Nausea and vomiting
• Breast tenderness
• Headache
• Mood changes
• Irregular bleeding or spotting
• Decreased libido
• Increased risk of thromboembolism (blood clots)

Precautions

• Do not use if you have a history of blood clots
• stroke
• or heart disease
• Do not use during pregnancy or if pregnancy is suspected
• Do not use if you have severe liver disease
• Smoking increases the risk of serious cardiovascular side effects
• Tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking
• Store below 30°C
