Indication
Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and chest pain (angina). It belongs to the calcium channel blocker class of medications.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine Besylate 5 mg
Direction
Take one tablet daily as directed by your physician. May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Swelling of the ankles or feet (peripheral edema)
- Flushing
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Palpitations
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs
Precautions
- Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor
- Inform your doctor if you have liver disease
- Use with caution in elderly patients
- Keep out of reach of children
