Indication
Used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. Also used to treat diabetic nephropathy.
Ingredients
- Losartan Potassium USP 50 mg
Direction
Take one tablet daily or as directed by your physician. May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Hyperkalemia (elevated potassium)
- Back pain
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs
Precautions
- Do not use during pregnancy — may cause fetal harm
- Monitor kidney function and electrolytes regularly
- Avoid potassium supplements unless directed by a doctor
- Keep out of reach of children
