Indication

Used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. Also used to treat diabetic nephropathy.

Ingredients

Losartan Potassium USP 50 mg

Direction

Take one tablet daily or as directed by your physician. May be taken with or without food.

Side effects

Dizziness
Headache
Hyperkalemia (elevated potassium)
Back pain
Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

Do not use during pregnancy — may cause fetal harm
Monitor kidney function and electrolytes regularly
Avoid potassium supplements unless directed by a doctor
Keep out of reach of children
