Indication
- Emergency contraception after unprotected intercourse - Prevention of pregnancy following contraceptive failure
Ingredients
- Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg
Direction
Take one tablet by mouth as soon as possible, ideally within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Headache and dizziness
- Lower abdominal pain
- Irregular or delayed menstrual bleeding
- Breast tenderness
Precautions
- Not for routine or repeated contraception
- Does not protect against sexually transmitted infections
- Less effective if taken later than 72 hours after intercourse
- Seek advice if vomiting occurs within 2
- 3 hours of dosing
