Indication
- High blood pressure (hypertension) not adequately controlled by a single agent - Chronic stable angina pectoris - Prevention of angina attacks
Ingredients
- Amlodipine 5 mg + Atenolol 50 mg
Direction
Usually one tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water, at the same time each day, or as directed by a physician. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
Side effects
- Swelling of ankles or feet
- Cold hands and feet
- Tiredness or fatigue
- Slow heart rate
- Headache or dizziness
Precautions
- Do not use in asthma/COPD
- severe bradycardia or heart block (atenolol component)
- Use with caution in diabetes (may mask low blood sugar signs) and heart failure
- Avoid abrupt withdrawal to prevent rebound angina or hypertension
- Avoid in pregnancy unless advised by a doctor
