Amdocal Plus 50 Amlodipine 5 mg + Atenolol 50 mg

Indication

- High blood pressure (hypertension) not adequately controlled by a single agent - Chronic stable angina pectoris - Prevention of angina attacks

Ingredients

• Amlodipine 5 mg + Atenolol 50 mg

Direction

Usually one tablet once daily, swallowed whole with water, at the same time each day, or as directed by a physician. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Side effects

• Swelling of ankles or feet
• Cold hands and feet
• Tiredness or fatigue
• Slow heart rate
• Headache or dizziness

Precautions

• Do not use in asthma/COPD
• severe bradycardia or heart block (atenolol component)
• Use with caution in diabetes (may mask low blood sugar signs) and heart failure
• Avoid abrupt withdrawal to prevent rebound angina or hypertension
• Avoid in pregnancy unless advised by a doctor
