Indication

Celecoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor (NSAID) used for relief of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute pain, primary dysmenorrhoea, and ankylosing spondylitis.

Precautions

• Not recommended in patients with known sulfonamide allergy.
• Use with caution in cardiovascular disease — NSAIDs may increase cardiovascular risk.
• Avoid in late pregnancy.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Monitor renal function in patients at risk.
