Indication
- Relief of nasal congestion from the common cold - Relief of sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes from allergic rhinitis - Symptomatic relief of hay fever and upper respiratory allergies
Ingredients
- Brompheniramine maleate 0.8 mg + Phenylephrine HCl 1 mg per mL
Direction
Children 4-6 years: 5 mL three times daily; 6-12 years: 7.5 mL three times daily. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Use the dose prescribed by a healthcare professional for younger children.
Side effects
- Drowsiness
- dry mouth and dizziness
- Nervousness
- insomnia or palpitations
- Blurred vision or difficulty urinating
Precautions
- Use with caution in heart disease
- hypertension
- diabetes
- glaucoma and hyperthyroidism
- Avoid in patients taking MAO inhibitors
- May cause drowsiness
- avoid alcohol and other sedatives
