Bosmoti Domperidone 5 mg / Simeticone 50 mg

Indication

- Nausea and vomiting - Bloating and flatulence - Epigastric fullness and discomfort - Slow gastric emptying (functional dyspepsia)

Ingredients

• Domperidone 5 mg + Simeticone 50 mg

Direction

Adults: usually 1 tablet 3 times daily, taken 15-30 minutes before meals. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Side effects

• Dry mouth
• Headache
• Abdominal cramps
• Galactorrhea or breast tenderness (raised prolactin)
• QT prolongation/cardiac arrhythmia (rare)

Precautions

• Contraindicated in moderate/severe hepatic impairment and with QT
• prolonging drugs
• Caution in cardiac disease or electrolyte disturbances (risk of QT prolongation)
• Avoid in patients with GI hemorrhage or obstruction
• Use lowest effective dose
• generally not beyond 1 week without review
